The Below Deck franchise has seen a lot of amazing chefs and not-so-great chefs. However, some past chefs would never return to the franchise.
The Below Deck franchise has seen many Chefs come in and out throughout the seasons, but there are three who will likely never return. From breakdowns to storm-outs, the chefs of Below Deck never have a dull moment. Keeping fans on the edge of their seats with their unpredictable behavior.
It is no secret that being a chef on a mega yacht isn’t an easy task. Through the seasons, there have been some heated confrontations between the chefs, crew, charter guests, and of course, the captains. Arguably the chef is at the center of the yacht and has the most pressure. The last thing that the crew and charter guests want is for the chef to storm out. Often coming with very colorful personalities, the chefs on Below Deck produce some beautiful dishes, and fans often cannot wait to see what they bring to the table.

While there have been some terrible chefs with bad attitudes and sub-standard food, there have also been many chefs that fans have fallen in love with. Unfortunately, life at sea for a chef is often short-lived and very taxing. Many that have appeared on Below Deck have moved onto other ventures, taking what they have learned on the yacht and bringing their passions to life on land.
Adam Glick from Below Deck Mediterranean & Below Deck Sailing Yacht
Chef Adam Glick showed off his talent as a chef on Below Deck Mediterranean seasons 2 and 3. He received a lot of praise from charter guests and the captain. However, his romantic life took a turn when Malia White fell for another crew member, ultimately playing both crew members and breaking Adam’s heart. He then appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1 and began another romance with chief stew Jenna MacGillivray. That too ended, and Adam expressed to fans that after 12 years of living and working on the ocean, he is ready to live his life on the land. He went on to say that he’s done with cooking on mega yachts and has now made a name for himself on land. Known as the Adventure chef, Adam prepares gourmet dishes in off-the-grid locations and also stars in the cooking show Stocked (via Chef Adam Glick).
Ben Robinson from Below Deck & Below Deck Med
Chef Ben Robinson was a much-loved chef on Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean. Praised for his impeccable plates and tasty dishes and Ben was an OG on the spin-off to the original. In an Instagram Live with fellow co-star Bugsy Drake, Ben admitted that he is a little too old to continue on Below Deck. In Below Deck Med season 4, Ben hinted at the season being his last. He later went on to tell fans that he is approaching 40 and had been in the industry since he was 22, and it was time for him to hang up his uniform. Even though Chef Ben will not be returning to the franchise, he still has a passion for cooking and is pursuing his career on land. He runs a successful catering business and does private events, classes, and guest appearances.
Marco Spaziani from Below Deck Sailing Yacht
Chef Marco Spaziani from Below Deck Sailing Yacht wowed fans with his fantastic culinary skills and cool temper. He first appeared in season 3, where he stunned the charter guests with his beautiful plating and attention to detail. Marco recently took to Twitter to announce that he would not be returning for another season, thanking his fans and crew for their support. Marco recently opened his first restaurant in Los Angeles called Marlou, which is likely why he’s not returning. Fans were sad to hear that the beloved chef would not be returning to the Below Deck spin-off but are looking forward to seeing the success of his new endeavor.
