If you’re in need of more help, we have guides covering all Chapter 3 Season 2 weekly quests, all Resistance quests, Omni Chips to upgrade your Omni Sword, when is building making a return, and Fortnite tank locations to collect armor samples and deliver a tank to a Seven Outpost.

What Are Funding Stations in Fortnite?

Funding stations have been present in Fortnite for quite some time, and serve mostly as a player-driven choice between two options. Players can interact with funding stations and spend gold bars onto their selected option. The total amount of gold bars on either side ends up in a winner.

During Chapter 3 Season 2, the Fortnite funding station choice lies between the MK7 or Combat Assault Rifle. People can spend gold bars to decide which one of the two weapons is going to be added back into the game. At the moment, there are several rifles in the loot pool, which seems as the main reason why developer Epic is leaving it up to player votes instead of just adding both of them at once.

In summary, you’re free to just hold onto your gold bars and ignore the funding stations. But if you have a big inclination towards any of the rifles, well, you’re gonna have to pay up for the chance to see their comeback. At the very least, there is a Milestone in the quests tab that involves spending gold bars, so it may be a good way to tackle that one off the list.

When Are Funding Stations Coming Back to Fortnite?

At the time of publication, the funding stations are currently disabled in Fortnite. Epic announced this via the Fortnite Status account on April 5, clarifying that this is merely temporarily until they resolve a stability issue.

That being said, the tweet also clarifies that “bars already spent have still contributed to your chosen item,” and there’s going to be another announcement as to when the funding stations are restored in full. For now, you’ll just have to wait.

Fortnite Funding Station Locations

You can find funding station locations in pretty much all named locations in Fortnite, from the Synapse Station to The Joneses. Once you’re around the areas, keep an eye out a money bag icon on the map, which is going to indicate where the station is.
