Fortnite Use an Ascender at Chonker’s Speedway and Command Cavern Locations
As part of the Fortnite seasonal quests, you’re tasked to use an ascender at Chonker’s Speedway and Command Cavern. This quest is unlocked automatically as it’s part of the third weekly batch. Even if you haven’t completed all previous objectives, you can jump to any of them at any time until the season ends.
Let’s get into the steps. You need to use a total of two ascenders, so one in each area. I’ve tried to use the same one regardless and it didn’t work, so you can either travel between them on the same match, or just land directly from the battle bus to each of them across different matches.
I’m starting with Command Cavern ascender location in Fortnite. For this one, I recommend to approach the area from the northern side until you stumble upon a platform above the cavern itself. There are three ascenders to use around, so choose any of them and zip yourself up.
The ascender location at Chonker’s Speedway in Fortnite is a bit more elusive at first, but there is a good and secluded spot on the northwestern corner of the map. If you approach the massive boulder there from the northern angle (using the map as reference) that’s where you can use the ascender.
That’s it for this quest! Ultimately, knowing where to find ascenders across the map can be quite useful, especially if you’re playing Solos and need to have a plan B at hand at all times. Alternatively, I’ve seen players camping on top of the IO Airships and just attacking everyone that came to pass underneath, which is also an strategy to consider for when you’re playing Duos or Trios.

In case you haven’t already, make sure to stick around Command Cavern to search chests on the IO Airship, as well as launch yourself from the Siege Cannon when you inevitably have to escape. If you’re looking for a series of challenges that aren’t quite as hard as they sound, make sure to follow through with them as soon as possible to start leveling up your battle pass.
