Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are hosting a new Pokemon Presents stream this week on August 3, and it will hopefully reunite me with my long-lost husband Professor Turo, as the show will include new information about Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. However, it doesn’t look like that’s all the company will have to show.
News of this comes from a post on the Pokemon social channels, which says the Pokemon Presents video will air on Wednesday, August 3, at 6 a.m. Pacific Time/9 a.m. Eastern. While Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are mentioned by name, the announcement says the upcoming RPGs will be only one of the apps and video games to get some spotlight. So we can probably expect some updates on games like Pokemon Go, Pokemon Masters EX, and maybe some unannounced games, as well. Not to get greedy, but if Game Freak has any intention of releasing Pokemon Legends: Arceus story DLC, now’s the time to do it.
‼️ Attention, Trainers! ‼️
Tune in to our YouTube channel on Wednesday, August 3rd at 6AM PT for a #PokemonPresents video presentation with updates on Pokémon apps and video games, including #PokémonScarletViolet!

What else Pokemon Company has to show during the stream remains to be seen, but Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are still the headliners for most Pokemon fans right now. The RPGs are coming to Switch on November 18, and will feature online co-op in an open world. The games will also feature a series first in game-specific professors. Pokemon Scarlet players will begin their journey under the tutelage of Professor Sada, while Pokemon Violet will feature Professor Turo. Oh, and they’re both hot, and the internet has taken notice.
This has been a packed year for Pokemon fans, as Pokemon Legends: Arceus launched in January, and gave fans a taste of what an open-world Pokemon game might look like, though it was also a pretty effective showcase of the series’ worldbuilding.
